She Likes Video Set

So here comes the much awaited report from the She Likes Music Video Set. The twelve hours that I spent there, were totally worth it. So take a seat and get ready to read.


Filmed at Mountasia Family Fun Center including miniature golf, go-karts and an arcade which might I say was the perfect setting! My brother and me got there at seven forty-five am and were the first two people to get there. We signed in to be extras and then sat down and waited for everything to get going. About twenty minutes later the room started to fill with people. Fake photographers for the shoot, teenagers, parents and even Forever The Sickest Kid's biggest fan, a grandmother of one of the teenagers (Later talking to her I found out, she plays in a band and previously met Jonathan, he presented an award to her in a battle of the bands at the house of blues. He loved her grandmother, so they brought her along.) Dressed with a Forever The Sickest Kids shirt and everything, she even got to be in the video! Priceless, might I say. First of the Forever The Sickest Kids group to walk in? Austin!, he walked by us and said, "Welcome!"! A few minutes later, Kent walked right by my brother and me, also. Kyle walked in and started to walk towards us and then a crew member said, "No, no this way!" with K Dirty following behind. Outside, was Jonathan unloading his truck of Arizona Tea and Coke products. Marc a little bit later walked in, along with Bonnie, she was even more stunning in person, they also brought their dog Olive! Caleb, last to arrive, looked at my brother nodded and said, "Hey!". They all looked amazing. I had this moment of feeling like I wasn't supposed to be there. Cause they were just walking around and getting ready, haha.


About ten minutes later, Kyle walked by us into the back room and said, "I love this!" and then walked back out. He was standing about five feet from me and says, "Who wants some granola bars?" I said, "Me!" he walks up to my brother and me, sits one on the table for my brother and my brother says, "Thanks! This is Kat!" (My brother has previously met Kyle at Best Buy about six months ago and they talked for a while. I met him at warped, for like five seconds, ha.) Kyle replies, "Yeah of course I know who Kat is! Whatsup Kat?! Here you get two, because you're the Kat." and proceeded to rub my back, haha. Needless to say, I was stoked.

So the rest of the band gets into their needed places. The director of the video came out to talk to us, told us how everything was going to be going down. He then picked out an a group. Which I was included in. So we walked out to the front of the building where there was a red carpet set up. A few minutes later they brought out two more groups, one with my brother. First up to film was Austin! Bonnie (Marc's Girlfriend) was also in this scene, as a photographer. Our job was to yell out for Austin, act way excited, because clearly we weren't already or anything. Haha. The director then says, "Photographers, to you he's Mr. Bello, so it's, 'Mr. Bello, can I take your picture?' the rest of you, call him whatever you want, call him Mr. Sexy for all I care." Austin replies, "Yeah Mr. Sexy, I like that!". Caleb is also in this scene, creeping in the crowd with a cup, haha. Right before getting ready to shoot Caleb's scene, Kent is in the car behind Austin and turns up really loud, Fireflies by OwlCity, the rest of the day the band would randomly break out singing the chorus.

They then took some of us out, to thin out the scene. Next up was Caleb and Ziggy. My brother was in this shot, in the video, Caleb walks up to my brother and says, "Hey, hows it goin?". Moving onto Jonathan's scene, during takes he talked to my brother, he loved his shirt and for the rest of the day, every time he saw my brother, he'd fist pound him and be like, "Whatsup Broksi?!". They then brought us back for Jonathan's scene who rides up on a bike and then takes the golf club, over his shoulder and runs it across the top of the crowds heads, where we lean back, or bend down, depending on where you were, in a wave motion. He then said, "Did I hit someone?! I felt like I hurt someone." Haha. Everyone was fine though!


The crew had to move everything to the back of the building, so Forever The Sickest Kids got to hangout with fans for a while! Walked up to Jonathan and he hugged me and then talked to him a little bit. I wanted to get something signed and I was wearing my Forever The Sickest Kids, The Weekend: Friday t-shirt shirt. So I figured what better then my t-shirt? So I borrowed a sharpie from the lady at the counter and walked back up to him and he hugged me again and I asked him to sign it. He wrote, "To Kat, U Pwn! - Jonathan" Every time someone signed it, I asked my brother to read it to me, haha. I then found Austin, asked him also to sign it. I took off my hoodie and he goes, "Where did you get that shirt?" "SmartPunk! It came in some package, for your cd." "Really? I've never seen that shirt in my whole entire life." "Haha, yeah.. supposedly you guys have Saturday and Sunday one's coming out also." "Oh well, its a really cool shirt! That's so weird though." haha. He then signed my shirt and took a picture with me. I then found Caleb, he signed my shirt and I got a picture with him also, but it got deleted by accident. I talked to him for a little while. Then my brother and me went down to another room to find Kyle, we ran into K Dirty on the way and he signed my shirt. I then found Kyle and walked over to him and asked him to sign my shirt he put, "Kat! KB$" and a smiley! I got a picture with him, which he looked amazing in! haha. I then noticed that Mindy White was standing behind him. He turned around and said, "Hey this is Mindy, my girlfriend! Mindy this is Kat, Kat, Mindy!" I talked to her for a while about Tumblr and Starbucks. She also signed my shirt. She was seriously one of the nicest and prettiest people I've ever met. K Dirty then went off to play one of the games in the arcade, Kyle, Mindy and some of their friends, walked over to watch him. My brother fallowed them and Kyle turns over to him and says, "This is gonna be a while! K Dirty's really good at this game!". I went back up to the lobby to finish off my mission of getting my shirt signed. I saw Ziggy watching this girl playing a game and asked him to sign my shirt. I then ran into Marc coming out of the bathroom and got a picture with him as well. Every time we took a picture together, he'd say, "Niiice!" haha. So then it was time to go back to filming!



By this time I had gotten my shirt signed by everyone from the band but Kent and I was not going to leave with out it, haha. We wound up being set to film with. They originally put us at the top with him and then moved us down a level. One of the golf balls that dropped down, my brother got to keep. What I remember most was having to scream and cheer and clap. Scream, cheer, clap, scream, cheer, clap. Haha, we probly did that over and over for about thirty minutes. I swear my hands were red by the end of the day. It was totally worth it though! Kent was hilarious with all the moves he was doing. It was great. Then there was this kid that they had holding a cup and they dropped a golf ball into, that Kent reaches his hand into and grabs out. They let the kid keep the drink and Kent goes, "You know my hand was in that." Haha. We walked by Kent on our way out and he signed the golf ball for my brother, so did Kyle and Jonathan. Kent also signed my shirt.



So we moved over to Kyle's set to film. Why waiting, Kyle's dad showed up and why walking over to my part to film, Kyle gave me a high five. Mindy White plays his girlfriend in it. She sits on this bench and eats nachos and sips her drink and later turns into something else! You'll never guess. Kyle even yelled, "Yeah now bring the real babe in!" haha. It was pretty sweet though. Filming with Kyle was a blast, he made the whole thing really fun and chilled and talked to us. He started moving his butt back and fourth why bending over and says, "Did Kent already do that move?" and I said, "Yeah! haha." and he goes, "Damn it. That was my move. Oh well I'll just talk on my phone why I'm on doing it, I'll be the to important guy." We also had to scream and cheer for him, Ziggy behind the camera was filming us and Kyle mouthed into Ziggy's camera, "Yeah, that's right, it's all for me. All for me!" and pointed at himself. Haha. Greatest thing ever. Hopefully it'll wind up on the internet eventually. Then one of the crew members was holding up this paddle and would start waving it, when he wanted them to move to the sides, so Kyle would come up behind him and start doing things, like putting his hands on his chest, haha, because he had to keep holding the paddle in the air, haha. He also thanked us all for coming out. One of the crew members were telling us to keep our hands close to us, when clapping and said, "Kyle's face is the only thing that matters. I mean, in this shot! Not like, in real life. Yeah.. next time I'll just say that quieter." So that was the last of the scenes I was in.
